A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to support their laboratory team on a contract basis. Professionals in this role will be instrumental in delivering high-quality diagnostic services, handling samples with precision, and ensuring accuracy in test results.

Schedule/Hours:

• 6pm to 6am, Friday through Sunday

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana (LA) laboratory license required
• Certification as Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
• Previous laboratory experience in a clinical setting
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols and laboratory guidelines
• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of laboratory tests and analyses on samples
• Operate and maintain various laboratory instruments and equipment
• Record test findings, analyze data, and communicate results to relevant healthcare providers
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces, adhering to laboratory hygiene and safety standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support patient care
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrument or testing issues as needed
• Follow established protocols for specimen handling and storage
