Medical Technologist - Norman, OK

Schedule/Hours:

• Choice of 4 x 10-hour shifts or 5 x 8-hour shifts per week

Qualifications:

• Certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Possession of ASCP certification or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in blood banking procedures
• Proficiency with phlebotomy techniques
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced laboratory environment

Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret a variety of complex laboratory tests, including those in blood banking, hematology, and clinical chemistry
• Collect and process blood and other specimens in accordance with established procedures
• Maintain equipment, instrumentation, and work areas to meet quality and safety requirements
• Adhere strictly to infection control, regulatory, and accreditation standards
• Accurately document, analyze, and report laboratory findings to clinicians
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide high-quality diagnostic information vital for patient care
