Schedule:

  • 3x12 hour shifts
  • Night shift

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
  • Demonstrated experience functioning as a Generalist within a clinical laboratory
  • Blood Banking experience is required
  • Proficiency with standard laboratory equipment, workflow, and quality assurance procedures
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis
  • Conduct blood bank testing and ensure the safe processing and handling of blood samples
  • Analyze test results accurately and convey findings to physicians and healthcare providers promptly
  • Maintain thorough documentation, quality control, and follow all protocols for specimen handling
  • Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments, performing necessary maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
