Medical Technologist in Osceola, AR

An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled laboratory professional with experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician. This contract role is perfect for those with strong generalist capabilities, ready to contribute to efficient, high-quality laboratory operations.

Schedule:

• 3rd shift: 7:30pm – 7:30am

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited program as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
• Certification as an MT or MLT (ASCP or equivalent preferred)
• Previous experience working as a generalist in a clinical laboratory setting
• Thorough understanding of lab procedures, safety protocols, quality assurance, and laboratory information systems
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy during overnight hours
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to accept exemptions as required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform a broad range of diagnostic tests in hematology, chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, and microbiology
• Verify, analyze, and interpret laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
• Maintain quality control and participate in proficiency testing programs
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab instruments and analyzers
• Adhere to all safety policies and maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals regarding test results and urgent findings as needed
• Document all laboratory activities according to regulatory and policy guidelines
