A medical technologist or medical lab technician role is available for an experienced professional interested in a travel assignment based in Prattville, AL. This position offers a unique schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, with shifts from 1:30 p.m. to 12 a.m., providing an excellent work-life balance.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing including blood bank and chemistry, with preferred experience in these areas.
• Utilize technology such as Cerner EMR, manual microtomes, Sakura tissue processors, Benchmark Ultras, and Ventana H&E Stainers.
• Collaborate with medical and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely analysis of patient samples.
• Adhere to quality control standards and safety protocols in the laboratory environment.
• Participate in orientation sessions including one-day NEO and two days of lab-specific training.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of medical technologist or medical lab technician experience required.
• Must hold an active MLS certification; holders of MLS certifications are preferred due to overlapping training and skills.
• Blood bank and chemistry experience is highly desirable.

Work Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation.
• Shift hours: 1:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.
• No weekend rotations, no on-call duties, and no holiday expectations.
