Qualifications:

  • National certification (ASCP or MT) required.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Technologist.
  • Expertise in blood banking and transfusion services.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy.
  • Strong attention to accuracy, quality, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex laboratory procedures across various departments, with special attention to blood bank operations.
  • Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens—ensuring efficient and safe phlebotomy practices.
  • Maintain laboratory instruments, documents procedures, and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Validate, interpret, and report laboratory results accurately and on time.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, institutional guidelines, and best practices.
  • Engage in ongoing quality control and continuous improvement activities.
