Medical Technologist in Rome, NY

Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Medical Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) seeking contract roles as laboratory generalists. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic testing and supporting critical patient care.

Openings are available for three professionals: one on the day shift and two on the night shift. Candidates should have recent, relevant experience in laboratory science and be ready to handle a broad range of procedures and tests.

Schedule:

• One Day Shift position available
• Two Night Shift positions available

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified or licensed as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Generalist experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations and safety
• Proficient in routine and complex testing, quality control, and troubleshooting
• COVID-19 vaccination is required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests across multiple disciplines (chemistry, hematology, immunology, etc.)
• Analyze and interpret test results to assist in diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and a safe laboratory environment
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
• Document all procedures and maintain accurate records per laboratory protocols
