- Active NY State license as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician
- Competent as a generalist across hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, and immunology
- Proficiency with routine laboratory instrumentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proven experience in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely analysis of patient specimens across multiple laboratory sections
- Adhere to established protocols, quality control procedures, and safety guidelines
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues and consult with supervisors or pathologists when necessary
- Document and report results promptly, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and participate in proficiency testing
- Assist in training and orientation of new staff or students as needed
