Seeking a skilled professional with expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to contribute as a generalist within a dynamic laboratory environment. Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State license required
  • Certified as either a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
  • Hands-on experience functioning as a generalist across core laboratory disciplines (e.g., hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, blood bank)
  • Proven ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab analyzers and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory protocols
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and report routine and complex laboratory tests accurately and efficiently
  • Adhere strictly to quality assurance and control procedures
  • Interpret and analyze test results, recognizing deviations and potential issues
  • Ensure accurate entry of patient information and results into laboratory information systems
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and logs for quality and compliance
  • Communicate and collaborate with clinical staff to deliver timely, reliable laboratory data
  • Participate in ongoing proficiency testing and competency assessments
