Qualifications:
- Valid New York State license required
- Certified as either a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
- Hands-on experience functioning as a generalist across core laboratory disciplines (e.g., hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, blood bank)
- Proven ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab analyzers and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory protocols
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Perform and report routine and complex laboratory tests accurately and efficiently
- Adhere strictly to quality assurance and control procedures
- Interpret and analyze test results, recognizing deviations and potential issues
- Ensure accurate entry of patient information and results into laboratory information systems
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and logs for quality and compliance
- Communicate and collaborate with clinical staff to deliver timely, reliable laboratory data
