Key Qualifications:

• Completed Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science
• Current certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA)
• Minimum 2-3 years’ recent, relevant experience within a clinical laboratory
• Solid experience operating Beckman Coulter equipment (AU system highly preferred)
• Familiarity with Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) and automation systems strongly desired
• Flexibility to perform phlebotomy as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct select laboratory procedures on blood, body fluids, or specimens according to defined protocols, utilizing both manual and automated techniques
• Operate laboratory instruments and effectively use information systems for tracking, reporting, and analyzing results
• Adhere to quality and safety standards in all testing activities
• Collaborate with the laboratory team and communicate effectively with supervisors and technologists
• Contribute to the smooth workflow of the lab by performing phlebotomy, when required
