Qualifications:

• Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license is required
• Strong generalist background with proven experience in blood bank procedures
• ASCP certification is not required for this role
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinical teams
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all laboratory testing
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines with an emphasis on blood bank
• Analyze, interpret, and report laboratory results to assist in patient care decisions
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments meet quality standards
• Adhere to strict protocols regarding safety, quality control, and specimen handling
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff to provide timely and accurate results
• Assist in quality assurance activities and participate in ongoing educational sessions as needed
