We are seeking experienced Medical Technologists (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) for a contracted role with a focus on generalist responsibilities in a dynamic hospital setting.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week assignment
  • 3x12 day shift
  • 36 hours guaranteed per week

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State clinical laboratory license required
  • ASCP or AMT certification is mandatory
  • 1+ year of recent hospital laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician preferred
  • Comfortable performing generalist duties in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunohematology, and microbiology
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze various specimens using both automated and manual techniques
  • Perform, review, and validate quality control measures and proficiency testing
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all analyses and procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of laboratory results
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and laboratory best practices
