Join a healthcare setting in Warren, MI, as a Medical Laboratory Technician on a 13-week contract. This role involves performing selected procedures on blood and other bodily fluids using manual techniques and laboratory instruments under the supervision of technologists or supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens following established protocols.
  • Utilize Beckman Coulter equipment, with a preference for experience on the AU system.
  • Support phlebotomy procedures as needed.
  • Operate laboratory information systems; experience with Sunquest LIS and automation preferred.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure quality control standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
  • Certification from a recognized national certifying agency such as ASCP or NCA.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency working with Beckman Coulter equipment (AU system preferred).
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in Sunquest LIS and laboratory automation systems.
