This 13-week assignment calls for an experienced individual with a background as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician, ideally with experience utilizing Beckman Coulter equipment, particularly AU systems.
Schedule:
- Midnight shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline required.
- National certification from a recognized certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ recent, relevant experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician.
- Hands-on experience with Beckman Coulter platforms, especially AU system proficiency, strongly preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with standard clinical laboratory procedures and demonstrated accuracy in specimen handling.
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze laboratory samples according to established procedures, ensuring precise and timely results.
- Operate and maintain Beckman Coulter laboratory equipment, troubleshooting as needed.
- Perform quality assurance and control procedures to uphold compliance and laboratory standards.
- Accurately document and report results, collaborating closely with clinical teams for patient care.
- Adhere to all laboratory policies, OSHA regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education and competency assessments as required.
