Required Qualifications:

  • Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license
  • Experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Proficiency as a generalist; strong knowledge and skills in blood bank operations
  • Familiarity with current laboratory methodologies, instrumentation, and best practices
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
  • Ability to work effectively with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, with an emphasis on blood bank procedures
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results for patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Adhere to laboratory safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality control and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of test procedures and outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to provide timely laboratory data
