Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Gross Room Laboratory, ensuring quality performance standards are consistently met.
  • Direct and support laboratory personnel, including recruitment, training, competency evaluation, and performance management.
  • Plan and implement quality control and assurance programs, including proficiency testing and peer review processes.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements for laboratory services.
  • Play a vital role in the ongoing education and professional development of pathology trainees.
  • Collaborate on workflow planning, resource management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the laboratory’s mission.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, direct hire position

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience in a pathology laboratory environment.
  • Strong background in gross dissection and autopsy services, with proven technical competency.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in quality assurance, employee management, mentoring, and effective communication.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and continuous process improvement.
