As a key supervisor and mentor, you will provide primary training in gross surgical and autopsy pathology to Pathology Residents and Fellows, ensuring high standards in both teaching and laboratory services. You'll be instrumental in optimizing daily operations, guiding a talented team, and advancing quality initiatives in the Gross Room Laboratory.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a laboratory setting with a focus on pathology.
  • Proven ability to supervise and train personnel, ideally in a clinical or academic laboratory.
  • Demonstrated skill in quality control, regulatory compliance, and process improvement.
  • Ability to provide effective mentorship and foster professional development in Resident and Fellow Pathologists.
  • Strong leadership qualities with sound judgment and resourcefulness.
  • Experience with planning, organizing workloads, and aligning resources to operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily laboratory functions, optimizing processes and ensuring adherence to stringent performance and quality standards.
  • Supervise, select, and train laboratory staff, evaluating performance and facilitating professional growth.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance programs; oversee proficiency testing and participate in peer review processes.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements through meticulous documentation and process management.
  • Support academic initiatives in the Pathology Residency and Fellowship by providing hands-on training and mentorship.

This is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive annual salary from $113,000 to $180,000, reflecting both experience and expertise.
