Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with a focus in pathology
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Demonstrated expertise supervising laboratory teams, preferably within gross room or autopsy services
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control and assurance programs
- Strong skills in mentoring, coaching, and providing technical leadership to both experienced professionals and trainees
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards relevant to laboratory operations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage daily laboratory and gross room operations, ensuring integration and efficiency among team members
- Oversee and support the training and professional development of Resident and Fellow Pathologists
- Select, train, and evaluate personnel; identify ongoing needs for staff development and competency
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs, including proficiency testing and peer review protocols
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Continuously analyze and improve workflow processes to optimize performance and outcomes
