Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field required
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in pathology laboratory operations
- Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop laboratory staff
- Demonstrated leadership with knowledge of quality assurance, compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards, and effective operational planning
- Experience supporting educational programs and delivering hands-on training for Resident and Fellow Pathologists
Schedule:
- Direct hire, full-time opportunity
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations and personnel within the Gross Room Laboratory, allocating resources for optimal workflow and quality
- Lead hiring, onboarding, ongoing training, and performance evaluations for laboratory staff
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control and assurance programs, including proficiency testing and peer review
- Maintain thorough documentation and support compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Mentor Residents and Fellows, providing primary training in surgical and autopsy pathology, and fostering an environment of continuous learning
- Participate in the integration of new technology and process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy
