Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field required
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in pathology laboratory operations
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop laboratory staff
  • Demonstrated leadership with knowledge of quality assurance, compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards, and effective operational planning
  • Experience supporting educational programs and delivering hands-on training for Resident and Fellow Pathologists

Schedule:

  • Direct hire, full-time opportunity

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and personnel within the Gross Room Laboratory, allocating resources for optimal workflow and quality
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, ongoing training, and performance evaluations for laboratory staff
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality control and assurance programs, including proficiency testing and peer review
  • Maintain thorough documentation and support compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Mentor Residents and Fellows, providing primary training in surgical and autopsy pathology, and fostering an environment of continuous learning
  • Participate in the integration of new technology and process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy
