Pathology Assistant - Albion, MI

Contribute your expertise as a Laboratory Pathology Assistant in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is an 8-week contract opportunity, ideal for professionals skilled in pathology support and dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Qualifications:

• Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologist’s Assistant program or PA (ASCP) Certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience as a Pathologist Assistant; strong working knowledge of laboratory and pathology processes
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with colleagues, physicians, and other staff throughout the facility
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform life-support, resuscitation, patient monitoring, and therapy with various medical gases in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Conduct invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures on patients within the Intensive Care and General Practice Units
• Apply clinical expertise in different departmental assignments as needed
• Deliver clear and accurate documentation of all aspects of patient care
• Supervise, guide, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientation staff, externs, and students as required
• Provide timely and precise data for patient billing
