Pathology Assistant - Euclid, Ohio

Schedule:

• 4x10 hour shifts
• Day shift: 8:00 am – 6:30 pm
• Friday through Monday

Qualifications:

• ASCP certification required
• Demonstrated experience as a Pathology Assistant or in a related laboratory assistant role
• Proficiency in gross examination, specimen dissection, and laboratory procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to upholding strict quality and safety standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform gross dissection and examination of surgical specimens under the supervision of a pathologist
• Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic analysis
• Ensure proper specimen identification, documentation, and tracking within laboratory protocols
• Collaborate closely with pathology and laboratory team members to maintain workflow efficiency
• Adhere to laboratory best practices, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance standards
• Assist with specimen photography and additional documentation as required
• Support the implementation of laboratory quality assurance and control measures
