Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • No on-call requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ recent experience as a Pathologist Assistant in a laboratory environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
  • Current PA (ASCP) certification is mandatory and must be active at submission
  • Prior travel experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Comprehensive COVID-19 vaccine series (or valid exemption) required by start date
  • Ability to provide documentation of all certifications and degrees upon hire

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently process, dissect, and examine a wide range of surgical specimens
  • Accurately prepare and complete surgical case reports with a focus on quality patient outcomes
  • Operate specialized laboratory equipment such as gross room hoods and cryostats for frozen sectioning
  • Strictly adhere to established protocols to uphold the accuracy of gross dissections and support robust diagnostic processes
  • Apply critical thinking, initiative, and problem-solving skills in daily workflow to ensure reliable clinical results
  • Collaborate effectively with laboratory and pathology team members to maintain efficient operations

  • All time off requests must be included at the time of submission; unnecessary absences are not permitted
