Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- No on-call requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience as a Pathologist Assistant in a laboratory environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
- Current PA (ASCP) certification is mandatory and must be active at submission
- Prior travel experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Comprehensive COVID-19 vaccine series (or valid exemption) required by start date
- Ability to provide documentation of all certifications and degrees upon hire
Duties and Responsibilities
- Independently process, dissect, and examine a wide range of surgical specimens
- Accurately prepare and complete surgical case reports with a focus on quality patient outcomes
- Operate specialized laboratory equipment such as gross room hoods and cryostats for frozen sectioning
- Strictly adhere to established protocols to uphold the accuracy of gross dissections and support robust diagnostic processes
- Apply critical thinking, initiative, and problem-solving skills in daily workflow to ensure reliable clinical results
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory and pathology team members to maintain efficient operations
