Seeking an experienced professional skilled in laboratory operations as a Pathology Assistant or Pathologist Assistant. Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Pathologists' Assistant program required
- ASCP certification as a Pathologists’ Assistant (PA) or eligibility preferred
- Prior experience working in a laboratory pathology role
- Strong knowledge of grossing techniques, specimen dissection, and tissue processing
- Attention to detail and proficient documentation skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and compliance requirements
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team-oriented setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens under the direction of a pathologist
- Prepare and submit tissue samples for histologic processing
- Ensure detailed documentation and photographic memorialization of specimens as necessary
- Assist with the preparation and performance of autopsies
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure cleanliness, and adhere to all safety and infection control guidelines
- Assist with laboratory management tasks, including inventory and supply ordering
- Participate in continuing education and quality assurance initiatives as necessary

$3,630 - $3,840/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
