Pathology Assistant | Hendersonville, Tennessee

Schedule:

• 3:00pm – 11:30pm, Monday through Friday
• No call required

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Pathology Assistant or Pathologist Assistant
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Current PA (ASCP) certification – certification must be on file at time of submission
• Prior travel experience is preferred, though not required
• Completion of full COVID vaccine series or valid exemption by start date is mandatory
• Reliable attendance with no excessive or unapproved time off (all requests for time off must be provided upon submission)

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently examine and process surgical specimens, ensuring timely and accurate completion of surgical case reports
• Perform accurate gross dissection of specimens per approved protocols, directly supporting microscopic diagnosis
• Skillfully utilize gross room hoods and cryostats for frozen sectioning
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills daily to ensure reliable clinical outcomes and patient-focused care
• Maintain strict compliance with all clinical, laboratory, and safety standards
