Step into a vital role supporting laboratory pathology operations as an experienced Pathologist Assistant for an 8-week contract assignment. Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologist’s Assistant program or current PA (ASCP) certification required
  • Valid BLS certification is mandatory
  • Proven experience as a Pathology Assistant, demonstrating expertise in gross examination and specimen dissection
  • Strong communication skills to interact with medical staff, laboratorians, and support teams
  • Ability to document accurately and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pathologists in the preparation and dissection of surgical specimens and postmortem examinations
  • Execute specimen grossing, cassetting, and documentation following established protocols
  • Collaborate with laboratory and medical teams to deliver timely and accurate results
  • Maintain precise records and electronic documentation for all assigned tasks and procedures
  • Uphold quality and safety standards, adhering strictly to infection control guidelines
  • Regularly communicate procedural details and results with physicians and clinical partners
