Pathology Assistant | Lakewood, Ohio

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts
• Days: 8:00 am – 6:30 pm
• Friday through Monday

Key Qualifications:

• Current ASCP certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of direct experience as a Pathology or Pathologist Assistant
• Sound knowledge of grossing techniques, tissue processing, and laboratory best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with pathologists and laboratory staff
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and specimen tracking

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform gross examination and sectioning of surgical specimens
• Prepare and process tissue samples for histologic evaluation
• Accurately label, document, and maintain specimen integrity throughout all stages
• Assist pathologists with autopsies and specialized procedures as requested
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and assist with quality control measures
