Take your expertise in laboratory pathology to the next level with this exciting opportunity. We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background as a Pathology Assistant to support critical diagnostic services on a 13-week engagement.

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts, Friday through Monday
  • Day shift, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Pathologist Assistant (ASCP required)
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory safety, specimen handling, and pathology protocols
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens and postmortem examinations under the direction of pathologists
  • Ensure proper specimen allocation and assist with sample submissions for further analysis
  • Prepare and deliver accurate preliminary findings to medical staff
  • Maintain precise documentation within laboratory information systems
  • Adhere strictly to regulations and best practices to guarantee safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with pathologists and lab team to streamline workflow and troubleshoot issues as needed
