Seeking an experienced professional with a focus in pathology to provide comprehensive support in a laboratory setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, is comfortable working independently, and excels in a fast-paced environment focused on patient care.

Schedule:

  • 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years pathology lab or pathologist assistant experience required
  • Prior travel assignment experience is desirable but not mandatory
  • Certification as a Pathologist Assistant (PA, ASCP) required; documentation must be submitted with application
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
  • Current COVID vaccine series completion or valid exemption required by start date
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure precise, reliable clinical results

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct gross dissection in compliance with established protocols to assist microscopic diagnosis
  • Examine surgical specimens and independently generate timely surgical case reports
  • Work within gross room hoods and operate cryostats for frozen sectioning
  • Prioritize accurate, patient-focused care at every step
  • Maintain the highest standards for laboratory safety, accuracy, and quality
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal clinical outcomes
