Bring your expertise to a pivotal contract role supporting pathology services in a dynamic laboratory environment. This position focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered care through the meticulous examination of surgical specimens and completion of surgical case reports, contributing to timely and accurate diagnoses.

Schedule:

  • 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • No call required

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Pathologist Assistant or in a related laboratory position
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
  • Current PA (ASCP) certification – must be on file at time of application
  • Experience with Gross Room Hoods and cryostats for frozen sectioning
  • Prior travel experience is valued but not mandatory
  • COVID vaccination series completed or an approved exemption by start date

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct gross dissection and examination of surgical specimens independently, in strict adherence to laboratory protocols
  • Complete surgical case report documentation promptly and accurately
  • Operate within a Gross Room using hoods and prepare specimens with cryostats as needed for frozen sections
  • Uphold rigorous standards of quality and patient-focused care through keen attention to detail
  • Apply critical thinking and problem solving to ensure reliable clinical outcomes
  • Comply with all laboratory safety and compliance guidelines
