This 13-week contract offers an immediate start and a consistent weekday schedule from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with 40 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of a medical assistant training program from an accredited institution (certificate required)
  • At least one year of relevant work experience
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be maintained throughout employment)
  • Current certification as one of the following:
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from AAMA
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from AMT
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from NHA
    • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from NCCT
  • Ability to complete all orientation and annual skills competency requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers and nursing staff
  • Assist with the management of patients presenting with common conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, hyperlipidemia, congestive heart failure, urinary tract infections, and pain
  • Perform patient intake, vital sign measurements, and medical history documentation
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure infection control protocols are followed
  • Update and maintain electronic medical records accurately
  • Assist with minor clinical procedures as required
