Medical Assistant in Cumming, GA

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Medical Assistant to contribute to patient care in an OB clinic setting. This contract position calls for a dedicated professional with a passion for women's health, offering a dynamic environment in a collaborative clinical team.

Schedule:

• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (Day shifts)
• Standard weekday hours – enjoy evenings and weekends off

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant (preferred)
• Prior experience supporting providers in an OB/GYN or related clinical setting highly desired
• Strong ability to perform vital signs, patient histories, and assist in minor procedures
• Competent in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for patient interaction
• CPR/BLS certification (current and valid)

Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients for exams, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the visit
• Document medical histories, vital signs, and OB-specific metrics accurately in the EHR system
• Assist physicians with examinations, laboratory specimen collection, and office procedures
• Educate patients on basic health maintenance and prenatal care instructions
• Manage exam room cleanliness, restocking supplies, and maintaining infection control protocols
• Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Collaborate with nursing, providers, and administrative teams for optimal patient care delivery
