Certified Medical Assistant - Cumming, Georgia

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Medical Assistant to provide patient-centered care in a busy OB clinic. This contract position offers a consistent daytime schedule, perfect for professionals seeking steady hours in a supportive clinical environment.

Schedule:

• 5x8 hour shifts per week
• Day shifts

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
• Previous experience in an OB/GYN or women’s health setting strongly preferred
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic clinical procedures
• Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach

Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures in the OB clinic
• Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and other pertinent information
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures
• Collect specimens and prepare lab requisitions as needed
• Administer injections, perform venipuncture, and carry out basic point-of-care testing
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the EHR system
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and ready for patient care
• Support overall clinic flow and work collaboratively with providers and staff
