Step into an integral role supporting patient care as a Medical Assistant for a 13-week contract. You will work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals, utilizing your expertise to assist with diagnosing and managing a broad range of conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, hyperlipidemia, congestive heart failure, UTIs, and pain.
Schedule:
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- 40 hours per week
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certificate of successful completion from an accredited medical assistant training program.
- Minimum one year of hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification, maintained throughout employment.
- Current credential as at least one of the following: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
- Basic computer and electronic health record skills.
- Completion of all orientation, training requirements, and annual competency assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support physicians during patient exams, accurately recording vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist with procedures and diagnostic testing, according to best practices and provider instructions.
- Administer medications and immunizations as authorized.
- Maintain patient documentation and facilitate communication with other clinical team members.
- Ensure a patient-centered experience by providing compassionate, efficient service and maintaining confidentiality.
- Adhere to infection control standards and dress code (royal blue attire).
