Medical Assistant in Duluth, GA

A skilled Medical Assistant is needed for a dynamic OB clinic team in a contract position. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute essential support to women's health services in a bustling outpatient setting.

Schedule:

• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift
• Daytime hours

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
• Previous experience in an OB/GYN clinic or similar ambulatory care environment strongly preferred
• Proficient in taking vital signs, electronic medical record (EMR) usage, and supporting office workflows
• Effective communication and organizational skills to assist both providers and patients
• CPR/BLS certification required
• High standard for professionalism and patient confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients, obtain histories, and record vital signs in the EMR
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for examinations or procedures
• Assist providers during exams and procedures as directed
• Coordinate patient flow and assist with scheduling follow-up appointments
• Administer injections, perform basic laboratory tests, and collect specimens as permitted
• Maintain inventory of clinic supplies and ensure cleanliness of the work environment
• Provide excellent patient service, answering questions and offering clear aftercare instructions
