A rewarding opportunity awaits a skilled Medical Assistant eager to bring their expertise to a fast-paced clinical environment serving patients with diverse needs. This contract position spans 13 weeks, with full-time hours scheduled Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Active certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA – AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA – AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA – NHA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA – NCCT) required.
  • Recent completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.
  • Current AHA BLS certification, maintained throughout employment.
  • At least one year of professional medical assistant experience.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Successful completion of all orientation, certification, and annual skills assessments.
  • Experience handling patients with diagnoses such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, hyperlipidemia, CHF, UTI, and pain preferred.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support in a busy general internal medicine unit.
  • Obtain vital signs, document patient histories, and assist with examinations and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate charting and effective communication with nursing and provider staff.
  • Support patient education and follow-up, fostering a comfortable clinic experience.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and clinical safety protocols.
  • Contribute to efficient patient flow and collaborative teamwork.
