Step into a vital clinical support role where your skills as a Medical Assistant make a meaningful impact on patient care. This contract opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with a full-time schedule, supporting a dynamic internal medicine environment that addresses conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, hyperlipidemia, CHF, UTI, and pain management.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Monday through Friday
  • 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of recent experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
  • Current AHA BLS certification (must be maintained throughout employment)
  • Certification required (must hold one):
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – AAMA
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – AMT
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – NHA
    • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) – NCCT
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications
  • Ability to complete all required orientation, annual competency, and ongoing certification

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supporting top clinical diagnoses including hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and more
  • Obtain patient vital signs and document health history
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment
  • Support providers with examinations, procedures, and patient communication
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
  • Monitor, record, and report patient information accurately into EMR
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient care
