Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related field
  • ABR or equivalent board certification (or eligibility) in Medical Physics
  • Experience in a clinical radiation oncology setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and compliance standards
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency with linear accelerators, brachytherapy, and advanced treatment planning systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy in treatment delivery, calibration, and quality assurance of all radiation therapy equipment
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to develop and optimize cancer treatment plans
  • Perform regular audits and maintain compliance with federal, state, and regulatory agency guidelines
  • Provide clinical consultation for challenging treatment scenarios and participate actively in patient case reviews
  • Mentor and support technical staff, promoting ongoing professional development
  • Support and participate in research, process improvement, and implementation of new technology
