Key Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or related field
- Certification or eligibility for certification in Medical Physics preferred
- Experience working alongside Radiation Oncologists in a clinical environment
- Proficient in radiation safety protocols and operation of therapeutic medical equipment
- Skilled in treatment planning systems, dosimetry, and quality assurance procedures
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee radiation treatment plans in coordination with Radiation Oncologists
- Calibrate and maintain linear accelerators, brachytherapy, and imaging modalities
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual quality assurance checks on all radiation devices
- Uphold rigorous safety standards for patients and staff
- Lead or assist in clinical trials, protocol development, and technology integration
- Educate and support staff on emerging methods and regulatory compliance
