Seeking a dedicated medical professional who is experienced as a Medical Physicist, Physicist, or Radiation Oncologist to advance patient care in a dynamic, full-time environment. This opportunity supports a well-established healthcare center committed to delivering exceptional oncology services, with consideration for a contract-to-hire placement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Medical Physics, Physics, Radiological Sciences, or a related field required
  • Board certification or eligibility in Medical Physics (ABR, ABMP, etc.) preferred for physicist roles
  • Current and valid relevant state licensure, or the ability to obtain prior to start
  • Prior experience in clinical radiation oncology environments
  • Proficiency with treatment planning systems, dosimetry, and quality assurance processes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinicians and technical staff
  • Commitment to upholding high safety standards and regulatory compliance

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibration, testing, and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment to ensure accurate delivery of prescribed treatments
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals to design and verify individualized treatment plans
  • Implement quality assurance protocols, equipment checks, and safety procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving for imaging and therapy equipment
  • Participate in patient simulations and oversee the clinical aspects of new technology introduction and upgrades
  • Contribute to departmental policy development and continuous process improvements
