Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in Medical Physics, Radiation Oncology, or a closely related field
  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or equivalent) in Medical Physics or related physical sciences
  • Proven experience in clinical radiation therapy physics or radiation oncology
  • Familiarity with advanced treatment modalities such as IMRT, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, and brachytherapy
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety standards, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance
  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time schedule with flexibility, accommodating continuous patient care and procedural duties

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy in radiation therapy planning, dosimetry, and treatment delivery
  • Perform equipment calibrations, quality assurance testing, and maintenance per protocol
  • Support and participate in implementation of new techniques and technologies
  • Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists to optimize treatment plans and ensure patient safety
  • Contribute to department policy development, accreditation preparation, and safety program management
  • Educate and mentor staff and students on current practices and technology advancements
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to all relevant regulatory guidelines
