Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in Medical Physics, Radiation Oncology, or a closely related field
- Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or equivalent) in Medical Physics or related physical sciences
- Proven experience in clinical radiation therapy physics or radiation oncology
- Familiarity with advanced treatment modalities such as IMRT, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, and brachytherapy
- Strong understanding of radiation safety standards, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time schedule with flexibility, accommodating continuous patient care and procedural duties
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure accuracy in radiation therapy planning, dosimetry, and treatment delivery
- Perform equipment calibrations, quality assurance testing, and maintenance per protocol
- Support and participate in implementation of new techniques and technologies
- Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists to optimize treatment plans and ensure patient safety
- Contribute to department policy development, accreditation preparation, and safety program management
- Educate and mentor staff and students on current practices and technology advancements
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to all relevant regulatory guidelines
