Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Master's or PhD in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related field
  • Certification or eligibility from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) is highly preferred
  • Proven experience in a radiation oncology setting
  • Proficiency with clinical software and advanced imaging systems
  • In-depth understanding of treatment planning systems and linear accelerator operations
  • Outstanding problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills

Schedule:

  • Full-time position; standard day hours with occasional flexibility as required by clinical needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all radiation oncology equipment is operating safely and within regulatory compliance
  • Perform regular calibrations, safety checks, and quality assurance testing
  • Collaborate with oncologists and dosimetrists to develop and review patient treatment plans
  • Provide direct support during complex treatment procedures
  • Assist with accreditation processes and maintain detailed documentation in alignment with state and federal standards
  • Participate in ongoing clinical research and education to maintain cutting-edge industry knowledge
