Medical Technician in Grand Haven, MI

As a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you’ll play a vital role in supporting accurate diagnostic testing by performing essential laboratory work. This contract opportunity requires expertise in conducting a variety of tests while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Schedule:

• 6:30am – 3:00pm

Qualifications:

• Current ASCP certification required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and best practices
• Experience with Meditech is highly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff and laboratory team members

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, bodily fluids, and other specimens
• Analyze test results, verify accuracy, and report findings to physicians or clinical supervisors
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to safety guidelines
• Prepare samples, reagents, and documentation for accurate testing and record-keeping
• Troubleshoot equipment and testing discrepancies when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care
