Medical Lab Tech | Lenexa, Kansas

Seeking an experienced Medical Technician or Medical Technologist to provide high-quality laboratory services in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and is ideal for professionals with ASCP certification who excel in fast-paced environments and value precision in patient care.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend rotation
• Float as needed; specific shift days will be finalized during interview

Qualifications:

• Current ASCP certification is required
• Demonstrated experience as Medical Technician or Medical Technologist
• Proficient in laboratory testing procedures and equipment troubleshooting
• Strong attention to detail; ability to accurately analyze laboratory data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to float between departments as needed
• Night shift experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document a wide range of diagnostic laboratory tests on patient specimens
• Ensure quality control measures are in place and followed consistently
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure timely and accurate results
• Adhere strictly to all protocols and safety procedures for laboratory operations
• Assist in training new staff as required
