Clinical Laboratory Tech | Olathe, Kansas

A dynamic healthcare facility is seeking a skilled professional with expertise as a Medical Technician or Medical Technologist for a contract role spanning 13 weeks. Schedule:

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend float required (specific days will be discussed during the interview)

Qualifications:

• Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is mandatory
• Experience as a Medical Technician or Medical Technologist in a clinical or hospital laboratory
• Strong understanding of laboratory protocols, quality controls, and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and adapt to weekend float coverage
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology
• Accurately process specimens, operate laboratory equipment, and follow established protocols
• Conduct routine and complex analyses; document and communicate results per facility standards
• Adhere to regulatory and compliance guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Respond to stat orders and emergencies with professionalism and clinical expertise
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and fellow laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate testing
