Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as a Medical Technician, MLT, or Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Science or related field
- Previous clinical laboratory experience is highly desirable
- Proficient with laboratory analyzers, instruments, and quality control procedures
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis
- Accurately process and analyze patient samples according to established protocols
- Document test results, report critical values promptly, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform required preventive maintenance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
