Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Frisco, TX

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Nurse Practitioner to deliver virtual care as part of a GLP-1 Weight Management Program. This provider will play a key role in patient evaluation, medication prescribing, and education—all conducted remotely via a secure telehealth platform. With a flexible schedule (full-time or part-time, depending on your preference), this position offers both autonomy and support within a growing, protocol-driven initiative.

Schedule:

• 13-week contract-to-hire assignment, with ASAP start
• 1st shift: Start time of 8:30am CST
• Full-time (40–50 hours) or part-time (25–30 hours) options available
• Flexible hours based on your desired workload

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct telehealth consultations, reviewing medical history and evaluating patient eligibility for GLP-1 therapy
• Prescribe and manage GLP-1 medications when appropriate, tailoring plans based on clinical judgment and patient response
• Educate patients regarding administration, dosing schedules, anticipated outcomes, and potential side effects
• Maintain meticulous documentation in the electronic health record and comply with HIPAA, state, and federal telehealth standards
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Clinical Director, ensuring patient safety and clarity on urgent care protocols

Qualifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing in Texas
• Board certification (FNP, AGNP, or similar specialty)
• DEA registration with prescriptive authority for Texas
• Ability to prescribe GLP-1 medications within the state
• Telehealth and electronic health record experience preferred
• Background in obesity medicine or metabolic health is a plus
• Multistate licensure desirable
