Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible first shift options: full-time (40-50 hours/week) or part-time (25-30 hours/week) based on candidate preference
- Start time: 8:30am CST
Key Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in good standing (Texas)
- National board certification (FNP, AGNP, or related specialty)
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority
- Ability to prescribe GLP-1 medications in Texas
- Previous telehealth experience preferred
- Experience in obesity medicine or metabolic health (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with GLP-1 medication protocols
- Multistate licensure is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough virtual patient evaluations using a secure telehealth platform for candidates enrolling in the GLP-1 program
- Assess eligibility for therapy, review risk factors, and prescribe GLP-1 medications in accordance with evidence-based guidelines
- Provide detailed patient education, discussing medication administration, outcomes, side effects, and ensuring adherence to treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation following all applicable regulatory and compliance standards
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Clinical Director as warranted, delivering clear communication on emergency protocols
