Join a dedicated care team delivering telehealth solutions to patients pursuing positive outcomes in weight management. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in a protocol-driven GLP-1 weight management program, conducting remote consultations to support patients throughout their treatment journey. This 13-week assignment offers the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Schedule:

• 1st shift with a start time of 8:30am CST
• Full-time (40-50 hours) or part-time (25-30 hours) options available, tailored to your preference

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive virtual evaluations using a secure telehealth platform, reviewing patient history and assessing suitability for GLP-1 therapy
• Prescribe GLP-1 medications when clinically appropriate, adjusting plans as needed to ensure optimal patient response
• Educate patients on medication administration, dosing, potential side effects, and expected treatment outcomes
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in the electronic health record, adhering to HIPAA and all relevant telehealth regulations
• Identify and escalate complex or high-risk patient cases to the Clinical Director while ensuring patients are aware of emergency protocols

Desired Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (Texas required)
• Board certified as an FNP, AGNP, or related specialty
• DEA registration with authority to prescribe
• Eligibility to prescribe GLP-1 medications in Texas
• Experience with telehealth services preferred
• Background in obesity medicine or metabolic health is highly desirable
• Familiarity with GLP-1 medication protocols
• Multistate licensure a plus
