Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified First Assist (CFA) or First Assist Tech
  • Proficient knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques
  • Active and valid state licensure/certification (as applicable)
  • Previous clinical experience assisting in the operating room preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication abilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, patient-centered atmosphere

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the surgical team by assisting the surgeon before, during, and after operative procedures
  • Ensure proper preparation of the operating room, equipment, and instruments
  • Provide direct patient care, including prepping and positioning patients safely
  • Maintain sterile fields by adhering strictly to aseptic techniques
  • Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and communicate needs as necessary
  • Participate actively in post-operative processes, including applying dressings and assisting with patient transport
  • Collaborate effectively with staff, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals

$1,984 - $2,099/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
