Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist or equivalent
• Proven experience assisting in cardiovascular surgeries, including familiarity with cardiac instrumentation and sterile technique
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and handle complex instrumentation efficiently
• Strong knowledge of aseptic practices and infection prevention protocols
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support – ACLS preferred)
• Detail-oriented mindset and capacity to remain calm in high-pressure environments

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms, instruments, and equipment prior to procedures
• Assist surgical team during cardiovascular procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies
• Ensure proper handling and timely availability of sterile and non-sterile equipment
• Accurately manage all surgical instruments and supplies throughout the operative process
• Maintain a sterile field and continuously monitor for contamination
• Support the surgical team with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer as needed
• Adhere to strict safety standards and facility policies
• Document procedures and maintain equipment according to policy
