Key Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist or equivalent experience as a CVOR Tech
• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control practices
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and adapt to fast-paced settings
• Proven track record of reliability, accuracy, and attention to detail in operating room support
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation and maintenance of the sterile field before and during cardiovascular surgeries
• Work directly alongside surgeons and circulating nurses to provide effective instrumentation and supply management
• Monitor surgical environment, ensuring stringent adherence to sterile techniques
• Manage surgical instruments, sponges, sharps, and supplies while maintaining complete and accurate counts
• Support the surgical team in specimen handling and efficient room turnover between procedures
• Adhere to facility protocols, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and colleagues
