Take the next step in your surgical career by supporting a dynamic cardiovascular team as a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Technician. In this contract role, you’ll play a vital part in providing specialized intraoperative patient care alongside skilled surgeons and dedicated OR staff.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Current certification as a CVOR Technician or Surgical Technologist with extensive experience in cardiovascular surgeries
  • Proven background assisting with open heart and major vascular procedures
  • Proficiency in scrubbing, maintaining a sterile field, and instrumentation specific to cardiovascular surgery
  • Strong understanding of operating room protocols, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the CVOR environment, instruments, and supplies prior to and during cardiac procedures
  • Anticipate the needs of surgical teams, ensuring all equipment is ready and functional for each case
  • Scrub and assist for complex adult cardiac and vascular procedures
  • Handle surgical specimens per protocol and assist with timely patient turnover
  • Adhere strictly to infection control and hospital policies
  • Maintain effective communication with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers throughout each procedure
